Work Experience

  • July 2008 - present. Coordinator of Library Services for Distance Education. University of North Carolina, Greensboro (UNCG)  Greensboro, NC.
    • Oversee all library related distance education services.

  • February 2005 - July 2007. Regional Library Consultant. Colorado Library Consortium (CLiC) Englewood/Durango, Colorado.
    • Provide general and technology consulting for member libraries across the state.
    • Organize, provide and teach continuing education for all types of Colorado libraries including large multi-day conference events.
    • Manage/Update CLiC website and Blog.
    • Participate in state-wide and national library committees and projects
    • Maintain current working knowledge of emerging issues in the library field.
  • June 2002 - June 2004. Library Consultant. Southwest Library Services(SLS) Durango, Colorado. -- SLS closed in 2004 permanently!
    • Provide general and technology consulting for member libraries in the southwest part of the state.
    • Organize, provide, and teach continuing education for all types of member libraries including our annual 3-day SLS Institute.
    • Manage SLS computer lab, scan center, listserv, website (including redesign of site), and apply/manage e-rate.
    • Catalog and manage SLS professional collection in house and online.
    • Manage SLS office technology and contract for outside technical help when appropriate, including suggestions on equipment for member libraries' purchases.
    • Participate in state-wide library technology committees and projects that directly benefit SLS members.
    • Maintain current working knowledge of emerging technology issues in the library field.

    • Worked as a subject matter expert with suggestions and advice for the Designing and Developing a Library Web Site course for an online course modules at WebJunction.org
